We would like to shine a light on a few of these people who represent so many others in their particular field by giving them the chance to show off their skills.
At our open day in February, we will be having demonstrations for our visitors to enjoy, so we are looking for florists and hair and make-up artists to give short talks/masterclasses on what they do. So if you, or anyone you know would like to take part – do let us know. I know most of you usually hide away behind the scenes and slip away unseen before the guests arrive, but this time, we would love you to be ‘front and centre’ where your talents can be appreciated!
Demonstrations will be upstairs in The Tallet, where the room will be set up and dressed for weddings, and you could either work on your own, describing what you’re doing as you go, or bring along someone else to do the talking for you if that’s not your thing!
For florists, we will be making a special frame to echo the shape of The Tallet’s beautiful high ceiling which will be available to decorate, or perhaps you could create an arrangement for a table, for one of our churns, or even a buttonhole or hand tied bouquet.
Demonstrators will be introduced by one of Harefield’s team and we’re hoping to incorporate a mini wedding gown fashion show as well, so don’t be shy, come and join us for a fun afternoon and evening showing everyone just what a talented bunch you are!
