Evie and Jake

A beautiful day full of colour and fun!

Evie and Jake first visited in July 2021 and having decided Harefield Barn was the place for them, they started planning their wedding which was to take place two years later, in August 2023 – and what a fabulous day they had!

They chose the beautiful canopy of fairy lights provided by Socialights South West, and Elizabeth James Events set up a flower wall complete with LED sign in the porch.  The gorgeous floral table arrangements were provided by Heathland Flowers which created a beautiful, almost ethereal effect with their dainty stems and home grown blooms.

Having spent the day before preparing at Harefield, the wedding day dawned to a mixture of sunshine and showers, so Evie and Jake opted to use the Tallet ceremony room rather than have the stress of not knowing whether a shower was going to arrive just as everyone was seated outside.

The Leveret Suite was busy with laughter and fun (and a few bubbles!) as Evie and her bridesmaids prepared for the day ahead, and as a hair stylist herself, Evie knew exactly what she wanted for her own hair.  Her stunning loose plait was finished with a sparkling band and ‘MRS R’ pin.  She had chose a stunning crystal covered fitted gown with shoestring straps, and her bridesmaids wore dresses in a similar style but in a fabulous bright burnt orange satin fabric.

Rachel from Bluebells Floral Design had created the beautiful bouquets for the girls, using colours ranging from dark orange and ochre through to peach which  perfectly complemented the dresses and overall colour scheme.

After a lovely ceremony the guests were able to shower Evie and Jake with confetti as they walked through the wildflower meadow and then everyone enjoyed drinks and canapes on the terrace in the sunshine.

Once guests were seated in the Main Hall, the happy couple made their grand entrance from upstairs in The Leveret Suite taking a selfie with all their friends and family from the gallery on the way!  A delicious wedding breakfast from Pretty Little Pastries followed, and  then photographer Hannah Frost made the most of the evening light, taking some gorgeous images in the meadow and grounds around the Barn whilst the rest of the guests relaxed in the Bar or on the terrace.

‘Betsy’ the beetle from Vintage Camperbooths was on hand for some great photos too, and after an evening dancing to JJ and the Sixes, the night was finished off with a sparkler arch to send the happy couple on their way at the end of a very special day!
