It’s for this reason that we’ve kept the decorations to a minimum; simple and rustic to fit with our surroundings but allowing a couple’s personalities to shine through.

We have added and taken away as we have learned what works well, and not so well; but try to ensure that everything we do won’t clash with your own ideas.

On a miserable day like today, it’s a bit tricky to take many photos outside, and although there are lots of beautiful corners within the Barn for pictures, but we decided it might be helpful if we added an additional spot suitable for group shots.

As you can see from the photo, we have hung an old wooden ladder on the blank wall in the Main Hall under the Gallery.  Decorated in typical style for us, it currently has some pretty curtain lights and a bit of greenery, but we’ve made sure that the ladder is easily taken down, leaving the brackets on the wall to help with your own decoration.

So whether you want a ‘Hollywood’ style backdrop with drapery and stars galore, a dramatic floral arch or balloon installation, this could be the spot to put it.  Or perhaps you have your own ideas – we can’t wait to see them!
