When Becca and Shane first decided to tie the knot, they didn’t know about Harefield Barn and had picked somewhere else, so when they heard that their chosen venue was going to cease trading, Becca was quite understandably very despondent, and their wedding plans were put on hold.
However Shane wouldn’t let her give up on her dream wedding and encouraged her to start looking again for somewhere to hold their special day. After an initial zoom call during lockdown, the happy couple were finally able to visit Harefield Barn in person, and I think it’s safe to say they ‘fell in love’!
From that day onwards Shane was often heard to say “Some things are just meant to be”, and Becca could once again start making exciting plans for their August wedding.
On the day itself, the weather held fair, and Shane and Becca were able to have the al fresco ceremony they had dreamed of, with the beautiful Devon countryside as a backdrop. Then, whilst their friends and family enjoyed a drinks reception on the terrace and surrounding lawns, the new Mr and Mrs Roberts made the most of the beautiful spots in the grounds for some personal photos. A delicious meal from the team at LAP Food and Bars was followed by an evening of dancing to @jdmobilediscos.
Their journey may not have had the best of starts… but it certainly had a very happy ending!
