Although living in Kent, James and Sophie chose to enjoy the delights of the fabulous Devon countryside for their day filled with blue skies and laughter.

The day before a wedding here at Harefield Barn is always such a fun time, when all the plans that have sometimes been so long in the making are finally put into action.  James and Sophie had chosen some fabulous multi coloured napkins to add a pop of colour for their place settings, and used buckets of flowers provided by Holly Bee Flowers to create pretty vases for each of the tables, and had stunning iced biscuits as favours.  With all the finishing touches in place, it’s off to enjoy an evening with family and friends before the big day.

The morning of the wedding dawned bright and beautiful, so the perfect outside ceremony could go ahead. Sophie was attended by no less than six bridesmaids, so there was certainly a great deal of fun and action in The Leveret suite as everyone arrived to get ready, with Iconic Hair and Make up at the helm!

James, ably supported by Ben and Mo and a gaggle of groomsmen arrived in good time to check everything was ‘good to go’, to speak to the Registrars and greet the guests, as the excitement began to build for the ceremony ahead.  

There was absolutely no doubting the ‘look of love’ as Sophie walked down the aisle to join James in front of the Clock House, and after a lovely meaningful marriage the happy couple were showered with confetti as they exited the ceremony and began the next chapter of their life together.

Welcome drinks were served on the terrace from the vintage cart ,with delicious canapes starting an afternoon of games, feasting and fun, and it was brilliant to see the Bride and Groom breaking with tradition by choosing to give a joint speech to their family and friends.

The amazing Velvet Soul band then really got the party started and a specially choreographed routine from Sophie and James kicked off a fabulous evening of dancing at the end of an extremely special day full of happy memories.
